And me?? Dropped out of Compuserve.... Joined a really good discussion group
about computer consulting hosted by Realrates.com ... Joined a few egroups about
Oracle, none very good. ... I still miss a few people on Compuserve, but not enough to wish I were still there.

I've been learning a little more about how to SELL my services, so I've been getting more direct contracts, and I'm less dependent on brokers. This is good because it gives me more chance to work from my own office, and more chance to serve multiple clients concurrently, rather than go to a customer's site and sit there for 40 hours each week.

Of course, the fact that the economy is so hot has helped me learn to sell. This even though my skills are considered passe by the thundering herd that went to Java and web design. But when they got terabytes of data that nobody under thirty can decode, who they gonna call?

Apart from work, my life is pretty quiet. Thank God.
