Hi.
I hope this is the right place to ask this question. If not,
please point me in the right direction.
I'm developing different web sites with database background
(but mostly web shops) and I already have some experience in
designing database layouts for similar projects.
Now I have some other (non-commercial) ideas, like chart
system or sport results server (where the users could search
for example 'who scored 2 goals and was replaced in the same
halftime' etc).
I'm having some difficulties (probably due to mine not so big
experience and the idea of having as less queries as possible
while pulling out some innformation).
Is there any book (or web page or anything else available)
which explains different approaches for specific problems in
database layout design (the examples above are pretty common,
I'd say). Examples are welcome, even preferred.
I searched the web for a freely available music/film/whatever
chart system, but couldn't find anything,i not even commercial
solutions.
Thanks in advance.
