Hi,

   If u r using Oracle 9i relaease 2 DB or Oracle 9Ias release 2 , there    is no need to change the oraparam.ini. ( Even if urs is P4 machine ).    If u have added the -nojit parameter, revoke it and try again.But it    will take some time to invoke ( Min 2 mins).

( We have used Oracle 9Ias and 9iDB with P4 machines , It is working fine without any alterations. Infact we run it directly from the CD. ORACLE has fixed all the issues. )
