Why choose oracle?

hi
the company i work for is an upstart one, specializing in various fields and among one of the "fields" requires a robust database server. i have been put in charge to find one that can withstand over 1 million queries per minute. i was wondering if anyone would enlighten me as to why i should choose oracle as opposed to the others?
remember, $$ is of no concern to my company. we have a healthy financial backing :)
