Oracle 7.3 + J2EE 1.4

Greetings everybody
I am not a database specialist, and my boss is requesting me te tell him if it would be possible to build an extranet (at a costumer's) using their existing Oracle 7.3 database ( running on solaris 2.5) and an application server based on J2EE, and if there would be any big problems (at first sight).
