Ironic that Informix always had better documentation than Oracle ever did, yet, management buys the software that has better marketing materials instead of good documentation and superior quality. I threw out almost all my Oracle-Press books, they were so useless in just trying to find the basics about how to manage the engine. Proof that marketing wins hands down no matter what the benchmarks or technical details.
When Informix was still around you couldn't help but stumble on to the best docs in the business at their website. God only knows where the docs are now... you'll have to hunt over at IBM's "webmasters-in-training" website. The site seems to change every time I stop by.
