Connect Internal - can the password be changed?

I've created an 8.1.7 database and left the default passwords

"SYS" and "SYSTEM" accts have had thier passwords changed

....but INTERNAL stiil connects with the "default" password and I cannot seem to be able to change it.

i connect as internal and run the following:

SQL>
SQL> ALTER USER "INTERNAL" IDENTIFIED BY "AAAAAA"; ALTER USER "INTERNAL" IDENTIFIED BY "AAAAAA"            *
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01918: user 'INTERNAL' does not exist

SQL> show user
USER is "SYS"
