Unix experience is good. Not sure you really need the Network and Sys Admin stuff. Some smaller shops might combine DBA and Sys Admin jobs into one, but I think most larger companies separate the 2 jobs.

But, no matter what, I'd recomend getting some experience with programming against an Oracle database, using any language. I'd say this is more important than Network and Sys Admin certs.

I've been doing Oracle DBA job for about 10 years and never have had Solaris Network or System Admin training/certification. I've worked on Solaris and HP mostly, but also on AIX and some minor (thankfully) work on Windows.
