Hello..

Ya, the data transmitted via telnet can be "peeped" by several ways (like sniffer) That may be a security problem if the internal users intend to do so.

You may get SSH server from most UNIX-based OS like HP or LINUX. But you should know SSH is not a standard product yet for most of vendors, you may implement by yourself and use at your own risk.

Once you install SSH server successfully, you may use SSH client instead of telnet.For end users , they can't feel the difference since it work just like telnet.

We successfully install SSH on our Red hat 7.0 as Gateway for telnet users over internet.
