You do not need the redo logs up to the point of the cold backup. You do, however, need the archived redo from the cold backup forward.

For close/offline/cold backup (non-Rman Backup) do we need to copy the
online redo log file. Why?? While restoring, the database will be
restore at the point of backup and hence no recovery can be performed,
