ORA-00000 error - only fixed by reboot of server

I am getting a generic error from one of our VB apps that has components running through MTS and connects to an Oracle 8.0.5 database. A couple weeks ago (has been running fine for years) we started getting an error from Oracle when our MTS components tried to connect to Oracle (I think it is when they connect - it might be when they open a recordset, etc.). We are getting the following error:

[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]ORA-00000: normal, successful completion (-2147168246)

We check all services, can connect through SQL Plus, but cannot clear this error until we reboot the server (it has both Oracle and MTS on it). Then, everything is fine for a couple days to a week, but then we get the same error again (usually first thing in the morning - but not always).

Anyone seen this before?
