HI!
I've been having problems creating a new database from the svrmgrl command line with 8i Personal on Win98. When I go straight into svrmgrl, and I run the script to create the database, it automatically starts another SID, other than the one I want. So when I went back to the C:\> prompt, and set the Oracle_sid = the desired SID, i get prompted for a password, and I have now idea what it is. I've tried all the standard ones, including "oracle". I'm trying not to use the Database confi asst, just DOS, is this even possible with win98 and Oracle Personal edition? A friend says it's not...any help would be great...links, tips, etc. Keep in mind, I'm new at this, and going by my book!
Thank so much! Received on Sat Dec 08 2001 - 08:51:34 CET
