I already did that and besides TNSNAMES I also did it on TNSLISTNER.ORA and also
on Auto_home.... but no luck, my clients cannot connect to the server... any idea

If you have changed the hostname and IP address, you will need to make the change in all TNSNAMES.ORA files for clients that want to access the database.
