ORA-00600 errors on DYNIX/ptx V4.4.4

I'm trying to troubleshoot an ORA-00600 error message on our Sequent
Cluster.



Here is the error:



[ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [504], [819785356], [256],
[5], library cache], [6], [2], [0]|ORA-00600: internal ] found in
Oracle alert log



This has been happening with 8i for a while.  The system does not
report any hardware errors from IBM, however a few times while this
ORA-00600 error would appear, we have had hardware issues.  One being
the IQ link on one of our quads, and another one being a fabric switch
that needed to be replaced.



I would say that it's possible to have another hardware issue, but I
was wondering if anyone else had a similar situation or is aware of a
patch for Sequent/Oracle 8i that would solve this issue.  Since the
ORA-00600 message is pretty generic (It could be hardware, disk write,
file corruption, etc) I'm just wondering what is going on.
