My system is presently configured on TCP/IP only. I want to add the
named pipes protocol by reinstalling Net8. Are there any known
problems with TCP/IP and "Named PIpes" existing together in an Oracle
8i EE with Advance Networking and Security option.
This may be practically required for access to one of our remote
clients. Are there any issues with remote access from NETBEUI client
through Named Pipes?
The requirement is to connect a NETBEUI client to a Oracle8i Server
presently configured for Net8 using TCP/IP.
Are there any security issues as well? We use Oracle Advanced
Networking and Security application.
