I just installed Oracle8i (8.1.6) on Solaris 8 Intel, and am having
trouble starting up the database. (I'm not a DBA, I'm new to Oracle).
This is the output:
SVRMGR> STARTUP PFILE=$ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initCUST0.ora
ORA-27102: out of memory
Intel SVR4 UNIX Error: 22: Invalid argument

This is the documentation for this error message:
ORA-27102 out of memory
Cause: Out of memory.
Action: Consult the trace file for details.
My machine has 192 MB of RAM, and I don't know where this 'trace' file
is located (the one that is in my home directory does not seem to have
anything to do with Oracle). Also, what is 'Error: 22'?
Any pointers on FAQ's would be greatly appreciated.
