Installer crashes

Hi all,
I have tried a number of times to download Oracle 8i Enterprise as well as Oracle 8i Standard, and install them on my Windows NT 4.0 machine. Each time, the Installer crashes around 98% or 99% of the way through the installation. It just quits with no error message and never shows the "starting passwords" screen it is supposed to. Each time I delete all the old Oracle files I can find and clean out the registry, reboot, make sure no other apps are running etc. but the next time I try, the installer still crashes. I have done this a number of times. Any idea what could be causing this?
