Hi

I purchased a new applications server and am migrating all applications from 3 old servers to new server. Both old servers and new server are NT. I have an application that runs on top of an Oracle database (Oracle 7.3). I need to copy this database from old server to new server, then startup the instance and get it working. I'm an NT admin, and our dba is overseas in Chile and has been very hard to reach. I know how to to perform simple functions in Oracle (i.e starting, shutting down, creating a service etc. etc). However, I have no idea how to go about copying this database. Could someone please advise me on what I should do, or at least point me to a link on the web that could get me started ? I've been searching Oracle's website for some clues.

Thanks ! Received on Sun May 13 2001 - 11:08:51 CEST
