Hi,
You'll probably get lots of suggestions for this question...it's hard to tell what you'll be doing from your post. You can start with SQL, and there are a lot of good books on Oracle depending what you need...architecture? You can try the DBA Handbook by Loney et al, but it depends what they want you to do...
