The AdabasD version that sun has licensed from Software AG for Star Office is limited. It is the desktop single user edition. AdabasD runs under several Unixes, Linux and NT and can be accessed either via ODBC or JDBC. But you'll definitely need a server license in this surroundig.
About AdabasD on Solaris go to news:comp.databases.adabas
Documentation is availiable at: http://www.adabas.com
