Yeeahh,
of course , easiest way to avoid it is to have two different user when installing, upgrad etc..
i.e. Oracle7 and Oracle8 and then adjust their login.com to use the correct orauser. (I.e. make sure to make a jump in sylogin if you have a orauser call in it) The ones in system log tab have different names. /rgds
