Hmm... I thought about this too. But why wouldn't I have any security exceptions when connecting from appletviewer from my PC? And the security restrictions on type 4 drivers (like the jdbc thin client driver) shouldn't be interfereing since the applet is on the same machine as the database.

This is starting to get EXTREMELY frustrating. Maybe I should go be a river raft guide or something.. ;)
