How can I use image in Oracle?

Hi,
Could anybody tell me how can I store images in Oracle? I am brand new at Oracle, but I would like to build a small multi-media databases. I do not know is it possible. The images I need maybe not in high-resolution. Do oracle provide multimedia support or applications have been developed?
