Should work with the 8.0.5.3.0 version of the Oracle ODBC driver (or the 3.1x version of the Intersolv driver). It won't work with the MS driver, because that one isn't Oracle 8 aware and will only use Oracle 7 data types. The fact that the Intersolv and Oracle drivers are doing the same thing makes me suspect an ADO or ASP problem. Try getting the latest build of the Oracle driver from their external ftp site and see if it works, that one was actually bundled with the MDAC 2.0 components.
