I have been trying to do this using Oracle 8 and CR 6, and the stored procedure just blows Crystal.
Oracle blames Crystal, and vice versa (whatta shock).
I've done this many times flawlessly with SQL-Server, and using the table linking within Crystal to Oracle 8 succesfully. The whole procedure mechanism in Oracle is convoluted, and problematic.
Oracle creates jobs, not reusable technology. They want you to use ONLY their tools (which suck), or figure it out for yourself.
One suggestion is to use the MS Oracle ODBC driver, not the Oracle one, solved some problems for us.
The best solution would be to use Oracle if you must, as the database, then pull aggragate data into SQL-Server for reporting/warehousing. Get the info. out of the Nazi's database. Received on Thu Sep 10 1998 - 00:00:00 CEST
