I doubt this will apply in your case, but I just recently discovered what was causing me to get the very same error message. It turned out that I had two versions of ociw32.dll. Deleting the old one eliminated the problem. You might check it out. If that isn't the case, try searching the Help for "Oracle runtime DLL's" and the like. You should find a list of files, which you can use to search for the existence/duplication/versions of critical Oracle files.
