Hello,

I'm in the following situation. We are porting our codebase to SGI IRIX. The codebase uses Rogue Wave libraries (Tools, Threads, Net, DBTools) as an isolation layer to ease porting.

Rogue Wave provides inconsistent support on the IRIX platform, but I was able to get all their libraries and our source built on IRIX in the 'n32' format. This is apparently a 32 bit object format produced by the 64 bit compiler.

The problem is that the Oracle distribution for IRIX provides it's client libraries in 'o32' format. This is apparently a 32 bit object format produced by the 32 bit compiler.

In addition to the two not being link compatible, our code requires C++ language features that aren't in SGI's 32 bit compiler, but are in the 64 bit compiler.

To provide more info, here's what 'uname -a' produces:

IRIX64 IRIS 6.4 02121744 IP27     Has anyone else been in this situation ? If so, I'd really like to know how you got out. Please answer to:

Thanks
