Hi there
I have a problem.
I use Oracle 7.3.3.0.1 and Netscape Enterprise 2.1 Webserver on NT
Alpha. The Netscape serverside JavaScript programming interface,
LiveWire, use the following string to connect a database: (native call
for Oracle, Informix...)
database.connect("ORACLE", "SERVERNAME", "USER", "PASSWORD",
"DATABASENAME")
But I cant make it work. Im new on Oracle. I can figure out what the
1:st, 3:rd, 4:th parameters should be, but the 2:nd & 5:th????
- Servername: In the LiveWire releasenotes there´s an example:
"T\:SERVERNAME\:ORCL".
- Databasename: It says: " Change the last argument to blank: ' ' "
I use a table in the defaultDB and have a username and password (I also
tried with 'system', 'manager').
Now, I just cant make it work!!!
Please anybody???
