RAID Arrays with NT datamart

Has anyone had experience in evaluating the different effects of RAID setups on an Oracle database. We are running a Compaq Proliant 5000 with a RAID 5 array over 12x4Gb disks. Is there any indication to the performance decrease from a RAID 0 array to a RAID 5 array for writes on the database, ie 10% slower. We are evaluating whether there will be sufficient I/O advantage from dropping the RAID 5 array and adopting a RAID 0 array.
