Hi,

I tried to use Oracle's new level 4 JDBC thin driver on my LAN. Both Oracle DB server and my web server are located on the same machine (which means that both the applet & Oracle DB server are on the same host).
For some reason the example Oracle added seems to throw a SecurityException
("checkconnect.networkhost1") when executing the applet using the
HotJava1.0
browser from a client machine.

When I used Netscape Communicator I received a "checkpropsaccess.key" security
error, but the applet seems to work after that just fine with the DB server.

If anyone has any idea, why Oracle's example throws these security exception while
I'm not trying to access host which is not my applet's host, I would most appriciate it.

Thanks in advance,
