Horsepower for small warehouses?

Hello all,

  I am curious to find out how much "horsepower" developers currently have underneath of their warehouses. I guess my question would be:

  "What cpu speed and how much memory do you have driving a warehouse of what size?" "Is it distributed?" "What are your average query resonse times?"

  We are looking at developing a smallish warehouse that will, in the beginning, pull down about 100MB a day. However, this is expected to increase significantly. Thats a bare minimum 36GB of operational data per year. The data should be highly summarize-able but unfortunately, much of our processing will have to be against the detailed data.
