Regularly, five times a day, run exports of Designer 2000 repositories, serveral large instances, development users, tables and tablespaces all from batch jobs using NT scheduler (The AT command). Put the exports in appropriate OFA compliant directories and all exports include instance, type, date and time details all from parameter file.

Even separate scripts to run completely automated startups and shutdowns for ARCSERVE cold back-ups.

One even written so that when the UPS fires up the Oracle SID's are shutdown cleanly.
