Dear Fellow Developers,

I am trying to form a group of people interested in the long term goal of creating a start-up collaboration. I have noticed a severe lack of Manufacturing, Distribution, Sales, and general Business Management Systems, pertaining to the Middle-Level Businesses ( About 30-200 Million Dollars). The extreme push towards an NT solution is amazing. However, most Software companies are porting their applications to this new environment, and not all applications port easily.

I have been involved with several system changeovers involving Fourth Shift, JBA, Robocom, among others. Companies are tired of paying big bucks to be guinea pigs. Most of the current applications are the old has been. Basic Inventory Control, Basic MRP, Basic Manufacturing, there is a severe lack of creativity among all these operations.

I would entertain the possibility of Web Development style operation, till the selected parties feel comfortable with the direction this heads. If you are like myself you spend your free-time doing the same thing as me.
(Thinking of big ideas, and what if ...) This is one of those ideas. The
NT market shift has opened up the window for people like us, but this window is short.

I know this posting is kind of scattered, but I do not like long or obviously too prepared statements. Thank you for your time and I will personally answer all of your responses.

This is the new posting of this message here. The response has been good and I have appreciated everyone. I would also like any of the respondents or any new respondents to suggest next format of direct communication. I have Considered mIRC or Internet Relay Chat, AOL
(probably not, because it's AOL), Microsoft NetMeeting, a Separate
Newsgroup, or a combo of all of the above.

Also, for you who have responded. There has been over 30 responses, so you are not alone, and your ideas are as well supported as mine. This includes responses from several Countries, including Australia, UK, and Chile(?? Didn't know any Chileans before). Thank you again.
