I think that Clive has the best point of all. Whether we, as individuals, realize it or not, literally hundreds of thousands of people around the world read these postings -- and our behavior and interpretations of what is posted here need to be quite sensitive to that. What we as individuals object to here must somehow (sometimes) give way to what the rest of us -- those who post, and the many thousands who don't -- might need and prefer. I think that all of us should be extremely careful not to censor, squash, or intimidate away, what other people might see fit to post or read here.
