I had many problems version 7.0.16.6.5 for netware these memory leaks are stricly an Oracle problem they occured on netware 3.11, 3.12, and 4.1

if I did not shut down our server once a week i would get abends

I also had problems with 'shutdown immediate' closing open  connections

with version 7.1.3.3.2 it appeared most problems went away but I had compatibilty problems with our front end and only used it for a week

when I upgraded to 7.2.2.4.6 these problems went away, but they changed the optimizer and it consistantly thought full table scans where cheapest. So I had to change to rule bases instead of cost based. Then purchased Platimuns SQL plan analyzer and retuned every complex query we used to determin wich was best rule, first rows, all rows, or specific index. Received on Fri Dec 13 1996 - 00:00:00 CET
