Inserts to one table by many users

I am developing an application for a scenario in which many data entry people could possibly do an INSERT & COMMIT on a table at the same time.

My question: does oracle manage things in the background so that all users' data is added to the table? or, will I need to do some kind of manual locking & unlocking of the table ?
