Manager Instructional Design I
Basic Functions:
The Product Development Services Manager will direct and manage the delivery and content of testing for all Education programs and functions within the United States as well as internationally. It will be the manager's responsibility to ensure a high standard of testing delivery and content. The Product Development Services Manager will leverage Novell's resources and/or provide necessary project management and manage related special projects.

The Product Development Services Manager will manage a staff as well as create, implement, promote and define policies, procedures and projects for that group. In addition, the manager will work with and provide database and certification assistance to the program managers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills and the ability to manage people and resources. Ability to make decisions in accordance with Corporate and department objectives is necessary. The position requires a thorough knowledge of educational methods within the computer or high tech industry. This includes a strong background in computerized test development, mechanism delivery, testing design and statistics. Knowledge and experience in research design and statistics is also critical.

Also necessary is the ability to manage, motivate and discipline people when needed. The position requires a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation and self-management. A degree in business, educational testing or computer science is required. A master degree and/or doctorate in a related field is helpful with 5-7 years related work experience in a technical education field. Ability to travel domestically and/or internally, approximately 10-30% of the time, is also required.
