Dump file pmon_#######.trc - what's happening?

Oracle is creating a dump file pmon_######.trc every day of activity, but there IS NOT any register in the altert_SID.log file.
The times in the file relates to the on-line activity
(between 08:00 and 17:00 hours). The batch process,
which runs at night, does not seem to cause any alert.
The clients do a telnet and connect to the AIX server, and
then run forms and reports connecting Oracle using SQL*Net BEQ
(default SQL*Net protocol adapter when not multi thread server)
I want to know if the dump file is a warning or there is something working wrong.
