Oracle connection from Win95 to NT3.51 - What's the trick?

Hi everyone,

First, an apology for being both an Oracle and NT Server novice (gotta learn sometime).

I want to set up Oracle 7 on an NT server that I have and develop ODBC apps on a Win95 workstation. I have downloaded the NT Workgroup Server trial, the Win95 ODBC trial, and the Win95 Personal Oracle (for the SQL*NET for 95) and thought I had installed everything appropriately. I can, from Access 7, link external ODBC and get an Oracle logon screen, but that's where the fun ends. I continually get ODBC driver failures (and with some variations of the ODBC source, I get my Dialup Networking dialog).

I suspect it is the TCP/IP or Named pipes or whatever layer that is the problem, but then what do I know? - I'm a novice in these areas (although I have a knack for figuring out stuff usually). Any and all suggestions would be appreciated and vie e-mail if possible.

Thanks.
