Does anyone know the structure of the data section of a dump file ?
Empirical investigation would seem to suggest that each field is separated from the next by a ^X character. Varchar2 variables seem to have a byte count preceding the actual characters. Some numeric types appear to be preceded by a hex C1 character and seem to be four bytes long.
Can anyone confirm or refute the above and is there anywhere any documentation on the structure ?
TIA, Mark :)
