Muntuck,
I love this stuff. Unfortunately I have more questions than answers.
The questions/issues to resolve are these.
- 3 instances means your 256 memory is going to be divided up. Do I want to do this? I could configure 1 instance 1 database and make the logical seperation of databases, SCHEMAs. We could discuss this all night. Your 3 proposed physical structures does facilitate there independence.
- I'm not sure what 3x4 disk means my assumption is 3 clusters of 4 ( raid, stripe, etc.) Since I'm illiterate here I can only offer issues. 3 Physical database all have their own SET of active files. Where will they be placed in relation to the others. What about the Page Pools of the OS will one or all inccur this overhead.
- In #1 above your SGA is the memory dividing it up would look something like 1 - 128k, 2 - 64k, 3 - 64k. The background processes are here too. I would require the G50 to be SMP/MPP.
Again I could dspend all night discussing this...But, It's late. Good Luck.
I Hope This Helps
