Does this just happen on a particular form, or all forms?

I assume you are using a vt220 terminal? Perhaps it got set into vt100 mode. Check the terminal setup (F3 if it is a DEC keyboard). What exact terminal, terminal definition and $TERM are you using?

If you are using a PC with emulation, perhaps it got switched to another key or you somehow got into vt100 mode. Which emulator, which key is it supposed to be? Does the key help (<GOLD>k) show reasonable keys?

I've seen strange things on V 7.0 sqldba, magically solved when I went to 7.1. I've suspected perhaps something in the installation screws up otherwise normal key def stuff. Couldn't say what.
