: You can start by looking here. I am running OraPerl V2.4/Perl V4.036.
There is now a version that uses perl5 modules, so there is very little to do other than to compile perl5, the DBD and the DBI modules. It's really very easy, way better than compiling the old oraperl source against perl4.036. Only works with V7 of the RDBMS.

It's still WIP(Work In Progress), but it installed out of the box for me on solaris 2.4 and is working OK.
