Hello all.
I am looking for a comprehesive solution for our data base.
We are a small business, and have 3 (soon 4) stations that run a database written in FoxPro. We want to convert our setup to have a main server running either UNIX or NT, with a client/server database. Also we want to add a Web server access to this database, so that customers will be able to order our stuff through the web.
Does anyone know if Oracle is a good place to start? Or maybe something else? What about OS? Is NT ok, or is UNIX better?
Everything will be running from off the shelf components i.e. x86 hardware, 10Base2 etc... And also of cource, price is a factor.
Please e-mail :)
