Oracle Architectures?

Our organisation is preparing to build a large asset and workflow cordination system in oracle. It must integrate with an existing powerbuilder/oracle or oracle Web application. This will be our first Oracle project, and are seeking as much help from oracle as possible.

We are considering the options of tools and architecture:

Client Server:

Oracle Designer
Oracle Developer

or Oracle Web Server:

Has anyone have any opionions or comments on these approaches?
Who has developed a corporate application with oracle web server? As I would like to be able to fire some more detailed questions to you later.
As a beginer to Oracle (we are an experienced Ingres site ) what are some Tips and Pitfalls?
