Re: PO7 for W95

I just did this with the Nov95 release of Personal Oracle7.

First, I deleted the old ORAWIN95 directory and used regedit to delete all references to PO7 from the registry - I had to do this because my first install of PO7 was the Aug95 release and I installed the Nov97 over top of it which did not work.

Next I checked that the database would start and it did.

Then, I went into the PO7/windows directory and ran setup. I installed the required support files 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2.

That is it. Developer 2000 connects just fine.

In fact, if you are using the newest PO7 release (Nov95 on www-2.us.oracle.com), you do not need to specify 2: in the connect string since that is now the default.
