I am working with PO7 and Powerobjects.
To connect with the database other than BLAZE, Pick Oracle from the database list(Blaze is the option which shows up by default). And in the connect string give
scott/tiger_at_oracle7
( oracle7 is the database that comes with PO7, and you can choose the appropriate username and password).

Works for me.
