: Well Mark, you may have the time to scan thru all the postings
: and read them. I don't even want to read the subject headings
: of the topics that I am not interested in.

: Good on you if you have found topics that were not of interest to
: you and you learnt something. Maybe you should think about reading
: ALL the subgroups should this split go ahead.

: I am not picking on you but I am amazed with the number of people
: that have the time to read thru all the daily postings to C.D.O.

: If I had it my way, I would prefer to have 5-7 sub groups.

: Thanks SV Singam & Steve for taking the initiative.

This coming from a supposedly 'Oracle Consultant'? Education and advancement is a responsibility not an option. I agree totally with Mark that keeping the group together enables us who would like to learn about other areas of Oracle to do so. It does not mean we have hours to spend reading every article or even that we do so. We are, however, free to browse through the articles and selectively choose those we wish to know more about.

Flaming someone for wanting to broaden their professional knowledge is both inconsiderate and unwarranted. In my own humble opinion, I would much rather work with someone who has a broad knowledge base than someone  who is specialized on one area and blind to others.

This is of course my own opinion. Received on Wed May 22 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
