Report width > 132 characters

I have a report (written in SQL*ReportWriter 1.1) with a page width of more than 132 characters.

Generating the report to Destination Type "Screen" works fine, but when generating to Destination Type "File", lines longer than 132 characters get split into two after the 132nd character. (I need to generate to a file so the data can then be imported into a spreadsheet.)

Does anyone know why the lines get split when generating to file but not to screen? Is there a way around this? (I've set the Page Width in the Report Settings screen to 300, but this has not fixed the problem.)

Any help would be much appreciated.
