Oracle's Transparent Gateway for AS/400 allows Oracle applications on any platform to access and update data on AS/400 using Oracle SQL. Connectivity to the AS/400 is via Oracle SQL*Net using either TCP/IP or SNA LU6.2 (APPC).
Other options for accessing AS/400 data include the Transparent Gateway for IBM DRDA and the Procedural Gateway for APPC. Also, there is a sort of "reverse gateway" called Access Manager for AS/400 that allows AS/400 programs written with SQL/400 to access Oracle data on other platforms.
Your local Oracle representative should be able to supply details on these products.
